First edition with Barbaro's commentary in Latin, rather than Italian. See Mortimer. Francheschi also issued a 4to Italian ed. in the same year

For history of the ill., see Mortimer. The ill. are as in the corresponding 1567 Italian ed., but with the addition of 15 subjects and the omission of one. Most were cut by Giovanni Criegher, the co-publisher. There is an overlay on the plate at D1r, present in one of the Harvard copies described by Mortimer, but not in others.
